First off, I haven't really shared any review shout-outs lately due to sharing the news of Mad Vigilance and the announcement of the MAD Arc Team. So let's change that!

Since the beginning of 2022, A Night At Memoren Diner received 1 rating and 6 reviews!! Thank you to Pat Christiansen, Nakia, Nancy, Patricia, Brittany S. and B.A. Bellec for the lovely feedback. It still makes me happy that people are enjoying A Night At Memoren Diner, so thank you so, so much.

Now then, onto our news for today: An important update regarding the MAD Series.

If you have, or had, any interest in this ongoing sc-fi action thriller series, then you're going to want to read this email. Because you will be getting something out of this!

I framed Mad Vigilance in past emails as something that can be a jumping-on point for readers that are new to the MAD Series. My vision was they can jump into the novella, a chance to read it for free, and then make their investment onto Mad City and so on.

I've been getting feedback from the MAD Arc Team recently (which, by the way, there are still slots to join! Reply if interested). Those that have read Mad City, Book 1 of the series, have thoroughly enjoyed Mad Vigilance.

But for those that haven't read Mad City, many alluded the novella's story to "being dropped in the middle of a movie."

It's that kind of honest feedback that I greatly appreciate, as it allows me to see layers I missed before.

So, after some brainstorming and discussing things, I've made a decision. I will still include the 'before reading' disclaimer in Mad Vigilance (albeit with changed wording).

But I will be making the e-copy of Mad City free of charge on April 15th. With this alteration, I will also be pulling the book off of Kindle Unlimited after April 20th. This change will remain permanent until I state otherwise.

Given the state of Mad Vigilance, it's not in my interest to overhaul the story by adding heavy exposition (info-dumping isn't that fun either if not done right). It is also not in my intention to mislead you or anyone else and drop you into "the middle of a movie."

I want this series to be enjoyed to its fullest, and I feel this is the best possible way. There will also be some updated content that I've had in mind for some time that will be applied to Mad City. =) This will be updated and ready by April 15th.

Hardcover and Paperback copies of Mad City will still be on sale. The e-copy of Mad Vigilance will still be free exclusively to this newsletter, while its paperback counterpart will be on sale as well.

If you invested any of your hard-earned money into buying an e-copy of Mad City before: I want to thank you deeply and to please not feel discouraged. Your investments (including any other works of mine) have truly helped my writing career slowly flourish over and over. And it continues to flourish so that I have humble pleasure of being able to share with you, and this list, and eventually the world these stories that I hold close to my heart.
